Westside COVID-19 updates

How are we handling the COVID-19 pandemic as a church?

Sunday Mornings

For the time being, in-person Sunday morning church services have been cancelled. Because we meet in a school in Hopkins, MN and this district has cancelled all activities until April 6th, the decision to not meet in our regular facility has been made for us. However, we know a time like this requires us to band together and support one another as a community all the more! We are excited and believe the church was built for such a time as this. We get to BE the church instead of just attend a church. To continue worshiping together, get ready for a Sunday Morning House Party!

What is a Sunday Morning House Party?

Who: Whether you’re with family, a few friends, or just your furry friends, Sundays will be a party together… online! If you choose to gather with others, please abide by the current social distance guidelines and refrain from joining others or inviting others to your home if you have been feeling under the weather.

What: A Sunday Morning House Party is a simple way to watch our service online, build community, and encourage one another in our faith. While we can’t bring everyone together, you are welcome to invite a few friends or your family to worship and tune in to the service together. If you prefer to stay in and away from people during this time or have been sick, tune in for a house party with yourself, the Lord, and any four-legged friends you may have.

When: Services will start at 10:00 a.m.

How: We’ve made it simple! The service will be broadcast via our YouTube channel and available at our house party page. Discussion questions will be available for you or your House Party to go through together at the end of the online experience.

Our Community

We are in contact with several different leaders in our district and community. We will make you aware of serving opportunities as they arise. Look for opportunities to serve your neighbors and get your House Party crew involved in any service projects. If you hear of opportunities that the church should engage in, let us know by emailing info@westsidemovement.com.

Financially

During times like this people have a tendency to pull back on their generosity but your generosity is more contagious than COVID-19 and goes directly to touching lives.

Your contributions to Westside empower us to be a shining light in our community. Remember, we are all in this together.

If God puts it on your heart to be generous to a good cause, pray about giving over and above to Westside. This will position the church to mobilize help faster from a stronger financial position. The church exists so that we can do more together as a collective than we could apart on our own.
