Many people identify more with Good Friday. They may not fully know what happened on the Cross, but they identify with it. However, they don’t really understand what the resurrection part is all about. Good Friday is the day that Jesus did something for you that no one else has ever done for you. He took on the penalty of our sin that had to be paid for. We all have sinned. But that sin has an eternal price tag attached to it. Jesus stepped up and offered to pay that bill for you. It wasn’t just a display of love or power: He was conducting a transaction that had to take place for every human. But he rose from the dead to prove He was who he said He was, and to conquer death for Himself and for us.
